I just want to take some time to remember the best time of my life that I had with my boyfriend over this summer.  In my last semester at CU Boulder, I saved up money to go on the trip of a lifetime around Europe with the love of my life.  We had been talking about doing this for about a year, but we really didn’t even start planning everything until July, which is so crazy to think about.  I just can’t stop thinking about how lucky I am to have gone on this trip.  We were given the opportunity to learn about so many different cultures, ate till we couldn’t eat anymore, saw so many treasured art pieces, learned to live out of a backpack, and so much more.  We started our journey in Germany, then went to Prague, Budapest, Amsterdam, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Paris, London, and then made a last minute decision to go home to spend some time in Hawaii.  That month and a half was something that I hope I can do over and over with him; and really, it’s not too far fetched now that he is going to be a pilot.  He made me promise him before he started school, that when he became a pilot (later down the line obviously), we would use his benefits and travel around the world, and not worry about anything.  I so look forward to when this day comes and when we can be carefree and travel around the world again.  I not only learned so much about Europe, but I learned a lot about myself on this trip, as well as grew in my relationship with Cody.  To this day, I still can’t believe that we actually made the trip happen, and I can’t wait till we can travel around the world again.  

Already reaching my goals and making new goals. Although this year is all about embracing change, it is all for the best. I’ve heard the first year out of college can be a shock for anyone, but I think it all has to do with how you handle it and how you move forward through all the changes. I think that 2017 holds a lot of growth ahead for Cody and I, as we move forward into our new careers. I couldn’t be more excited to see what else 2017 has in store for me.
